For hip and knee replacements I use proven and NOT experimental implants.

The type of hip replacement I use is the Exeter Hip.

The type of knee replacements I use are NexGen.

The implants I use have excellent results and low failure rates as recorded by the British National Joint Registry.

Hip replacement and knee replacement I use 'Fast Track' or 'Enhanced Recovery' techniques, with early mobilisation, shorter length of stay and  reduced complications. Some hip and knee patients are suitable for day-case surgery (admitted, operation and discharge same day).

I have extensive experience in revising Metal-On-Metal (MOM) hip replacements and resurfacing.
